As the owner of an almost 12 year old retired working retriever, I ran into a few problems when she stopped working, the weight crept on and I changed her food to something I thought was more appropriate. She then developed infected anal glands several times over the next few months and her coat lost its shine. When I got a new retriever puppy, I put her onto a holistic diet but she was so energetic that she burnt it all off immediately, became very thin very quickly and was hungry all the time, a chat to Nicki and a change of food got us on the right track, Islay is now steadily gaining weight, more satisfied with her meals and the difference is amazing.

My 18 month old collie has food intolerances and this makes choosing a dog food difficult. Many products appear to be free of gluten, lactose or additive free when in fact it is hidden somewhere in the ingredients - this makes life very difficult for those of us with limited nutritional knowledge.
I tried a few brands of food which didn't agree with her, she was lethargic, her coat was dull and she had dandruff as well. Nicki ordered me a bag of Holistic dog food and I am very pleased to say that my dog is doing really well. She hasn't had to go to the vet for anything in the last 6 months which is a huge turn around for both of us and she loves going out for a run in the fields, when before she could barely manage a walk down the street.
I would recommend Nicki and Proletariat Feeds to every dog owner.

I have found Proletariat dog meal to be excellent. I have fed my dogs on the Working Class range (Everyday and Special Puppy) for almost 3 years and never a single time have my dogs refused it. I have two labs and two spaniels and they are all healthy and thriving.
I have given a friend some of this meal to try on her miniature Schnauzers and they will now eat nothing else. She in turn gave some to a friend to try on her Border Collies and they will not use any other dog meal.
We all agree that it is great value for money and would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone.
